Electronic Communications Consent

Version 2026-08-07 — effective August 7, 2026

By creating an account you agree that we may provide account, membership, legal, and service communications to you electronically — by email, by in-app message, or by posting them at https://gatedsitting.com — rather than on paper. This includes account notices, booking and sitter notifications, legal-document updates, membership and payment notices, and support replies.

2. What you need to receive them #

You need a device with internet access, a current web browser, a working email account that can receive mail from us, and the ability to read PDF or HTML documents and to save or print a copy for your records. Keeping your email address current is how you stay reachable — see section 5.

3. Text messages are separate and optional #

Text messaging is not covered by this consent. Agreeing to receive text messages is a separate, optional choice, and it is not a condition of creating an account or using the service.

If you opt in, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by turning them off in your profile, and reply HELP to any message for help. 4. Withdrawing your consent #

You may withdraw consent to electronic delivery, but because the service operates entirely online, email is how we deliver essential account notices — so withdrawing consent means closing your account. To do that, submit a deletion request through the privacy request flow in the app (https://gatedsitting.com/?privacy=1), or contact support at 903-466-2946.

Withdrawing consent for text messages is separate and does not affect your account: reply STOP or turn texts off in your profile.

5. Keeping your contact details current #

Tell us promptly when your email address or mobile number changes, by updating your profile in the app. A communication sent to the address on file is treated as delivered, so an out-of-date address may mean you miss a notice that matters.

6. Records #

We keep a record of the legal documents you accepted, with the version, a content hash of the exact text, and the time of acceptance, so the version you agreed to can always be produced.
