Cookie Policy
1. Overview #
This policy explains the cookies Gated Sitting sets. We use one strictly necessary cookie and nothing else: no advertising cookies, no analytics or tracking cookies, and no third-party trackers or pixels.
2. The cookie we set #
A single session cookie keeps you signed in after you enter your password. It holds an opaque random token — not your name, email, or password — which the server matches against its own session record. Over HTTPS it is set with the __Host- prefix and the Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Strict attributes, so it cannot be read by scripts, sent to another site, or set by a different subdomain.
3. How long it lasts #
A session expires after 14 days without use, and can never live longer than 60 days from sign-in without signing in again. Signing out deletes the cookie and the server-side session immediately, on that device; "sign out of all devices" ends every session for your account.
4. Your choices #
Because the cookie is what keeps you signed in, blocking it means you cannot use your account — there is no version of the signed-in service that works without it. The public pages (this policy, our Terms, Community Standards, and the status and FAQ pages) can be read with cookies blocked entirely. You can clear the cookie at any time by signing out or through your browser settings.
